About

Jürgen Koerth is a storyteller through and through—except that for decades, his stage has been the media world. He set out from Saarland and made stops in Ludwigshafen (Rheinpfalz), Mainz (SWR), Offenburg (Burda), Düsseldorf (Bild), Cologne (Express), and Hamburg (Mopo), before finally arriving in Hanover.

There, he not only wrote stories, he also shaped media: as editor-in-chief and local editor of the Neue Presse, co-founder of TVN, editorial director at SAT.1, head of television and deputy broadcasting director of NDR. He was co-initiator of the environmental lottery Bingo and government spokesperson in Lower Saxony – always close to the major issues of his time.

But beyond the headlines and cameras, his heart beats for the vastness of the desert and the depths of the sea – places that seem like stories without end.

At OutaStory, he brings his experience to bear to open up new spaces for stories – fairly, courageously, and with a passion for storytelling.
